Organized Transitions’ downsizing services are designed to alleviate the time-consuming and overwhelming task of moving. The process of sorting, organizing, packing, unpacking, and the relocation to your new home can often become much more complex than you may have first thought.
Our experienced team of friendly professionals will help reduce your stress and make your move as seamless as possible.
We’ll make sure that your belongings reach your new home safely and securely, whether you are moving them across the street or the country. Clearing the clutter, unpacking and setting up your new home, selling all your unwanted items, and everything in between can be exhausting for most people. Every move is different. We create a customized senior relocation and downsizing plan based on your needs, timeline and budget. Choose the support you need or let our team manage the entire transition from start to finish.
Complimentary Consultation
We always start by getting to know our clients. We discuss your needs in order to develop a plan that best suits your schedule and budget.
Create Floor Plan
We will measure and discuss which furniture you love, and together we will create a floor plan to ensure your favourite pieces will fit comfortably.
Sort and Organize
We will carefully and respectfully organize the contents of your home and place them in designated areas for moving, selling, shipping, recycling, or disposing.
Pack, Label and Inventory
We provide all supplies and carefully pack, label, and inventory items that are moving or heading to storage.
Arrange Movers
We work with some great movers. We will coordinate and manage it all.
Transfer of Utilities
We will list all your current utility companies and contact them to have your account either closed or transferred to your new home.
Unpack and Set Up New Residence
Your bed will be made, pictures will be hung, and your kitchen and bathroom will be all ready for you by the end of move day. We set up your TV, phone, stereo, and internet.
Auction Set Up and Sale
Once you are settled in your new home, we will return to your former home to set up and prepare for the auction. We will coordinate all aspects of the sale.
Donate, Recycle & Dispose
When the auction is over, we will handle removing any remaining items by donating, recycling, or properly disposing of them.
Arrange For Repairs
If there are any needed repairs prior to listing the home, we will coordinate and manage it.
Cleaning of The Home
Finally, we’ll make sure the home is sparkling inside and out and ready for the market.
